Paulina has been practicing as a Clinical Herbalist for over 12 years. She is a Professional Member of the American Herbalists Guild and the Canadian Herbalist's Association of BC.
Paulina’s interest in plant-based medicine began early in life, growing up on 40 acres of wilderness and surrounded by many of the very plants that she later discovered could be used for healing. These ‘green roots’ provided her with the foundation for an abiding love and respect for Nature and the bounty of medicine that it holds.
Before rediscovering these roots, the first half of her 25+ year career in health care was spent as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (Magna cum laude). This provided Paulina with a comprehensive understanding of the body’s processes during illness and an appreciation of the benefits of modern medicine; it also instilled a desire for a deeper understanding of the body’s innate intelligence to heal.
This led to further studies and, after completing a three-year diploma program, Paulina graduated in 1996 as a Clinical Herbalist. She has developed and taught educational programs in herbal medicine at local colleges and contributed articles on herbal medicine and natural health to a variety of publications. Presently, she practices alongside an integrated team of health care practitioners at Oceanside Wellness Centre in beautiful Vancouver , British Columbia .
