Herbal Medicine Seminars

Aug. 15-19 -- Clinical Phytotherapy Summer Camp -- Advanced Training in Botanical Medicine for Practitioners and Senior Students

  • Case review format
  • Detailed discussion of pathologies, therapeutic strategies and botanical materia medica for specific conditions
  • Afternoon herb lectures
  • Plant attunement exercises
  • Yoga, herb walks, horticulture therapy home cooking and lots of fun.

A Herbal Medicine Apprenticeship- Seasonal Remedies from the Forest and Fields

One weekend per month for 9 month (March – Nov.). It includes classroom time, pharmacy time, garden time. Total of 135 hours of instruction. Special opportunity for a practicum - one day per week for two student.

Designing your own herb garden, growing medicinal and culinary herbs, gardening as a therapy botany and plant identification, harvesting and processing herbs, pharmacognosy (plant chemistry), materia medica, and clinical applications, pharmacy and medicine making.

This program is for people who: are passionate about natural medicine; are passionate about plants; want to empower themselves with knowledge about self care; want to be able to help their friends and family with simple health challenges; want to rely less on the medical system.

November 18: making your own edible/medicinal stimulants and sedatives – a very fun class making Zoom balls ad Bliss Balls.

November 25: making your own skin care products – scrubs and spritzers and creams.

Herb Study Club

Starting in September, we will gather at Innis free Farm the first Thursday of each month to listen to one of the 90 minute lectures by leading international herbalists recorded at various herbal conferences over the last few years. Notes will be made available, and following the lecture there will be discussion of the material, review of the materia medica, clinical applications, and more.  

Date: first Thursday of each month starting Sep. 2nd (9 sessions, no meeting in Nov.).

Time: 6.30 – 9 pm

Fee: $75.00 for 9 lectures and discussions; or a drop in fee of $10 a session

FIELD EXPERIENCE


Netta Zeberoff, M.H., RHT – British Columbia, Canada


Cradle House 60 hours field experience.  Wildcrafting, gardening, making tinctures, oil salves, poultices.  Registration prerequisite: Successful completion of the Chartered Herbalist Diploma Program. 
Field Experience Certification will be granted from Dominion upon successful completion of the program.

Local Herbal walks and workshops given locally are open to everyone interested.
