Paula Marie Skalnek graduated in the mid 90s from Dominion Herbal College. She was one of the first three Clinical Herbal Therapists in British Columbia. She has earned diplomas in Aromatherapy, Flower Essences and trained in various modalities of Energetic Healing. She draws on her herbal background to promote their high quality therapeutic scalp treatments during lectures, demonstrations and hands-on seminars. Paula Marie remains active in the CHA of BC out of love for plant medicine. She is very inspired by other herbalists and dreams of the time when one is considered a herbalist/herbal practitioner/practitioner of herbal medicine because of core competencies not hours of study, institutional or training method biases. Paula Marie has been instrumental in creating the Examination for new members after Health Ministry officials "highly recommended" proof of membership's understanding of safe and ethical practice standards.

Two-year Director - Robert McCandless RHT
Dr. John Christopher’s passion for helping people inspired my interest in herbal Medicine in 1975. His School of Natural Healing in Springville , Utah , gave me a Master Herbalist Certificate in 1991. In 1993 I started full-time work at Gaia Herbals in Vancouver. In 1998 I received a Clinical Herbal Therapist Certificate from Dominion Herbal College, Burnaby, BC . I began doing in-depth clinical herbal consultations in 1999.
My deepest learning has come from many years of listening to thousands of people tell me their health stories. Their efforts, wins, and sometimes amazing health improvements prove the age-old wisdom of natural healing. I feel blessed to be able to offer people safe, simple and cost-effective tools to heal themselves.
