President - Jazz Mattu MNIMH, CLBCA, RHT
 Jazz Mattu is a practicing Medical Herbal Practitioner. He is the co-founder of Elixir Herbal Healthcare, White Rock Wellness Centre Inc., White Rock Wellness Store Inc. and Health Yourself to Wellness. He is amongst the leaders in natural medicine education and has lectured in Botanical Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, Wild Rose College of Natural Healing, West Coast College of Massage Therapy and Coastal Mountain College of Natural Healing Arts.  He currently lectures at Dominion Herbal College in Clinical Pathology, Differential Diagnosis, Clinical Diagnosis and Phyto-Pharmacology for whom he also supervises the student training clinic. Jazz is a Past President of the B.C. Holistic Healing Association and a member of the Dominion Herbal College Advisory Board.  He is a long standing professional member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (UK).  His personal philosophy is that optimal health is a balanced integration of mind, body and spirit and that human beings have the innate power to heal themselves and to assist in the healing of others.  He has over fifteen years of extensive experience in botanical medicine and lectures in the health and wellness industry across North America. 


Secretary/Treasurer -- Julieta Criollo DNM, CHT, RHT
Julieta has been practicing holistic natural medicine since 2001. Her skills and training include: Phytotherapy (Herbal Medicine), Nutrition and Lifestyle Counseling, German New Medicine, Salvestrol Therapy, Bach Flower Essences, Reiki and Energy Healing, Mind-Visualization treatment, Reflexology.  She graduated from the Dominion Herbal College in Burnaby, BC, with a Diploma in Clinical Herbal Medicine, and received the certificate of Doctor of Natural Medicine from the Board of Natural Medicine Doctors and Practitioners – North America (BNMDP-NA). She regularly takes courses and training in natural and conventional medicine as a way of maintaining and improving my skills and services. Julieta is a member of: Board of Natural Medicine Doctors and Practitioners – North America (BNMDP-NA), The Canadian Herbalist's Association of BC (CHAOFBC),  and Health Action Network Society (HANS).

- Tricia Sonsie Ir, RHT.
Tricia is a holistic health practitioner working out of her home in Kelowna , B.C. She has been studying and practicing natural healing for almost 15 years. She believes that for optimal well being you must balance the body, mind and spirit. Over the years she has been certified in many healing modalities. In the areas of feeding the body nutrition she is a Registered Herbal Practitioner and a Nutritional Advisor. In thoroughly assessing the needs of her clients she uses Iridology and Energy Reflex Testing as tools to finalize their herbal programs. With working the energies of the body she practices Reflexology, Touch for Health and is a Reiki Master/Teacher..

One-year Director - Paula Marie Skalnek CHT, RHT
Paula Marie Skalnek graduated in the mid 90s from Dominion Herbal College. She was one of the first three Clinical Herbal Therapists in British Columbia. She has earned diplomas in Aromatherapy, Flower Essences and trained in various modalities of Energetic Healing. Paula Marie has closed the doors of her private clinic and is not practicing Herbal Medicine at this time. She is employed as an educator for an Italian based line of fine products. She draws on her herbal background to promote their high quality therapeutic scalp treatments during lectures, demonstrations and hands-on seminars. Paula Marie remains active in the CHA of BC out of love for plant medicine. She is very inspired by other herbalists and dreams of the time when one is considered a herbalist/herbal practitioner/practitioner of herbal medicine because of core competencies not hours of study, institutional or training method biases. Paula Marie has been instrumental in creating the Examination for new members after Health Ministry officials "highly recommended" proof of membership's understanding of safe and ethical practice standards.

One-year Director - Gillian Leverkus Ph.D. (Health Science), RHT
Gillian Leverkus has been practicing Herbal Medicine for 30 years. Trained in England as a Herbalist and later obtaining her PhD in Natural Health, Gillian now practices from her Integrated Complementary Medicine Clinic on Vancouver Island. British Columbia. Her practice takes an integrated approach to your health providing a group of practitioners for you to work with as you follow your healing path. Gillian services include Herbal Medicine Consultations, Live and Dried Blood Cell Analysis and Vega Allergy/sensitivity Screening. She also specialises in teaching the Art of Spirituality in Healing and teaches workshops at local colleges and across Canada. Gillian is a past member of the Expert Advisory Committee with Health Canada, Natural Health Products Directorate (NHPD). She advises on issues such as safe reporting of drug/herb interactions, ethical delivery and practice of Complementary Medicine. She is Co. Chair of the Canadian Council of Herbalists Associations. Gillian works in her community as a volunteer and has been appointed to many Health Boards. Her passion to provide and teach preventative medicine has been recognised both Provincially and Nationally.

Six-Month Director - Katolen Yardley MNIMH, CHT, RHT
Katolen Yardley is a Medical Herbalist and a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, currently in private practice in Vancouver and Coquitlam, BC. She specializes in women’s health issues, skin dis-ease, digestive and nervous system disorders and believes in providing usable tools for healing through inspiration and education. A natural health product formulator and private contractor, Katolen has been involved with completing product license applications for Canada ’s Natural Health Product regulations and has taught herbal medicine courses at Langara College , and Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Since 1998, she appears monthly on Global Television Morning News, where she offers herbal information to the public. Katolen has been a guest on the Discovery Channel’s Healthy Home Show, has been published in the British Journal of Phytotherapy, Shared Vision Magazine, Choices Newsletter, Elated News, and Living + Magazine, presented at international conferences including Phytotherapy Canada, the BC Pharmacy Association, the Canadian Herbalist Association of BC, Powell River Women's Health Network and Washington State's Northwest Herbal Fair and has appeared in interviews on CKVN News, CBC National News, The Weather Network, CBC Talk Radio, CKNW’s World Today and CFML Radio.
Katolen is the owner of Alchemy & Elixir Health Group, a holistic wellness centre located in the heart of the West End of Vancouver, where a team of holistic practitioners offer private consultations, personalised health programs and educational seminars in both holistic health and herbal medicine.
